Competitions
For fun, the team at Mindclover Productions periodically competes in film competitions. Below are some of our submissions:
- 48 Hour Film Project in Phoenix, Arizona - At 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 we were assigned the genre of science fiction and had just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and return our film. There were 14 teams out of 17 who finished their films each between 4 and 7 minutes in length. Our team had a great time despite just two hours of sleep and a “touch” of stress at the end when we broke several speed limits zooming across town to meet the 48 hour deadline by 5 minutes! At the screening and awards ceremony, we were pleased to have accomplished the following:
Best Score
Best Use of Prop
Runner Up – Best Writing
Runner Up – Best Acting
Runner Up – Best Editing

- 48 Hour Film Project in Phoenix, Arizona - The first 48 hour competition for all of us was in July 2007. We survived despite only a few hours sleep! No Sanctuary was the title of our finished film.
- LifeTime Network - Over the July 4th, 2008 holiday, a few of us decided to forego sleep and submit a 5 minute film to their competition. The result was a short about a woman who receives news that will change the lives of her family forever. Here is My Independence Day.
